Being a Team BRIT sponsor – a powerful business decision

Update from Steve Delves, Managing Director of Viking Inspection

We were one of the first sponsors to get behind Team BRIT and I couldn’t be prouder.

The project came to my attention when I was watching coverage of Formula 1 and saw a short film on the team and what they were trying to achieve.  I knew I wanted to be involved, and our investment helped the team complete their first season.  It’s fantastic that Viking Inspection was a key part of this with Dave right from the start.

I go to most of the races to give my support and lots of different staff members have also come along which they have thoroughly enjoyed. We view these as great team building events for our business, as together we all get behind Team BRIT.

We promote Team BRIT on our uniform and will also soon be including their logo on our vans. We attend various engineering exhibitions, especially in the oil and gas industry and encourage other companies to get involved by giving away race day tickets as prizes.

The message the team is delivering to the motor sport world and to anyone facing disability, is that we are only limited by preconceived notions of what is possible – Team BRIT demonstrates that anything is possible if you work hard and have a great support team and the right equipment. The same principles that govern all race teams and also most businesses I imagine.

The team has had a great start to the season and is steadily improving – it’s not about winning so much as the journey to get there, but none the less it will be a great day when the guys finish first and we will be there cheering them on.
