Global watch brand partners with Team BRIT

TW Steel – a leading watch brand, has announced its partnership with all-disabled racing team, Team BRIT.

The brand, which produces watches combining Dutch design with Swiss engineering, is the latest supporter of the team, which aims to become the first ever British all-disabled team to race in the Le Mans 24 hour.

Through its Racing Academy, Team BRIT supports people with physical and psychological challenges in accessing motorsport, and has designed the world’s most advanced hand controls to enable its drivers to complete on a level playing field.

The partnership, launched as Team BRIT drivers take on their final race of the season at Snetterton in the Britcar Championship, will see drivers, crew and management wearing the bold timepieces, with TW Steel branding across the team’s fleet.

Drivers including injured police officer, Sgt Tom Dorman, paralysed ex-Army medic, Nerys Pearce and the world’s fastest racing driver with autism, Bobby Trundley will proudly wear TW Steel watches as part of the brand’s collaboration network.

TW Steel CEO Jordy Cobelens said: TW Steel is very passionate about racing. But we value a can-do attitude even more. Team BRIT combines both in a very inspiring way, which makes us very excited to team up. Like Team BRIT, we have a healthy drive to make things happen and encourage our fans around the world to do the same. I can’t wait to make noise together.”

Team BRIT CEO and Founder Dave Player said: “We’re delighted to welcome TW Steel to our team of supporters, whose help enables us to continue opening doors and breaking down barriers into motorsport for disabled people.

“We share a passion for design innovation and a relentless sense of ambition to challenge convention, so I’m incredibly excited about the potential of our partnership.

“My thanks go to Jordy and all at TW Steel for getting behind our work to revolutionise motorsport and normalise disability.”
