New team BRIT rookie - Andy Searle

Torquay’s Andy Searle joins the ranks, and has a true passion for fast cars and racing, and will now undertake an intensive training program to take part in the 2017 Fun Cup series. Searle, 24, 1 Rifles, was injured by an IED that he triggered during a patrol in Afghanistan in 2011. This changed his life, cutting short an active lifestyle that he pursued as a healthy young man. As a result of the blast, Andy lost both legs, part of his right hip and the index and middle finger on his right hand. After much searching to try and to find a sport that he could really get involved with, Searle was given the chance to get behind the wheel of our VW Golf GTi at Silverstone, grabbing the opportunity with both hands.
