Team BRIT drivers help raise over £3500 for Children in Need

Team BRIT drivers have taken to the kart track to raise money for this year’s Children in Need appeal.

Driver Matty Street, who owns TeamKarting kart circuit in Rochdale, hosted a special karting event on Friday 15th November in support of the national fundraiser, garnering the support of his fellow Team BRIT drivers and a number of high profile racing stars.

Ten teams, made up of 60 drivers took part in the race, completing more than 4000 laps of the circuit in total.

Matty was joined by Bobby Trundley and Andrew Tucker to form the Team BRIT’s entry and the team dominated throughout.

Teams could ‘buy’ laps to donate to the fundraising total whilst pushing themselves up the leaderboard.  Some generosity from one team meant Team BRIT were knocked back into 4tth place by the end of the race.
High profile drivers included Ross Worswick, Formula Renault and reality TV star and Abbie Eaton, ‘The Grand Tour’s’ version of ‘The Stig’.

Matty said, “I’m so pleased with how the event went.  We had such a great time and everyone who took part was extremely generous in contributing towards out fantastic total.

“It was a great way for us Team BRIT drivers to spend some time on track together, working as a team. I’d like to thank everyone who took part and donated so generously to such an important cause.”
