Team BRIT’s title sponsor, Brit Insurance, hosted a day on the racetrack yesterday to raise funds for the team and its linked charity, KartForce.
Yesterday, Thursday 19th October, Brit CEO Matthew Wilson, hosted an indoor track day at Teamsport in Docklands, London.
Teams were made up of colleagues and supporters from Brit and partner organisations, all lining up on the grid against two teams of Team BRIT drivers.
There was some fantastic
competition for Team BRIT’s seasoned and rookie drivers, who ended up taking 1st
and 3rd positions, with some impressive lap times delivered by the
Money raised from the day will go towards training and coaching sessions for the team’s drivers, and towards the facilitation of karting events for injured military troops supported by KartForce.
Team BRIT founder Dave Player said “Yesterday was a fantastic experience for everyone involved and we are extremely grateful to Matthew and his team for organising this.
“We depend on the generosity and support of our sponsors to keep us on the race track and to move us towards our Le Mans target. Events such as these contribute even further towards us realising our goals and spreading our wider message around normalising disability.
