Team Principal Mike Scudamore reflects on an incredible year.

Whenever I reflect on the team and its achievements at the end of the year, it’s humbling, quite amazing, and actually a bit emotional!

With this also being our 10th year, I can’t help but reflect with pride on just how far Team BRIT has come — not only this year, but across the past decade.

What started as a bold idea back in 2015 — to create opportunities for disabled drivers in motorsport — has evolved into something truly extraordinary. Ten years on, we’ve built a team that competes at the highest levels of endurance racing, continues to break barriers, and inspires people all over the world.

This really shouldn’t be underestimated. I don’t doubt for a second that we have been written off in people’s minds many times over. On paper, we’re a team that probably shouldn’t have made it past it’s first year. We’ve made it through 10, and we’re only getting bigger, and making more impact.

Team BRIT is the living embodiment of proving people wrong and achieving the impossible. We may not be the highest-funded team and we may not have the newest cars, but we have something that can’t be bought – unwavering belief and the most determined team members out there.

From a racing perspective, we’ve been extremely proud of every driver and crew member for the performances they’ve delivered this year. We’ve had our fair share of bad luck, but not once have we let circumstances get us down – instead we’ve risen to every challenge and proven yet again why we are one of the most highly regarded teams in the paddock.

We’re pretty sure that some other teams look on in awe at the tireless work that has gone into getting our cars back out on track after some of the incidents we’ve faced this season. That takes strength, grit and determination that is unmatched.

Every driver has given their all behind the wheel and it’s been fantastic to see the ongoing development this has led to. We may not have secured a championship this year, but taking 2nd overall and 1st in class for the BMW, 3rd in class for the number 38 McLaren and some brilliant performances in the number 68, has been amazing to watch.

Seeing the growth of every individual — from our rookies to our most experienced racers — has been incredibly rewarding. The teamwork, determination, and positivity that defines Team BRIT have never been stronger.

This season also marked one of the most exciting chapters in our history — the unveiling of our new BMW M4 GT3. Sharing this moment with our partners, supporters, and fans was unforgettable. The car represents more than just a new step in our progress; it’s a symbol of how far we’ve come and where we’re headed next.

We also raced in America for the first time, competing in Veterans Race of Remembrance. This was such an incredible opportunity to showcase British innovation, diversity, and determination on a global stage, and we even took a podium in the process! Meeting so many new friends, all with a shared passion for opening doors to motorsport for people who may not have thought it was ever an option for them, was fantastic.

I want to thank everyone who has played a part in this journey — our drivers, crew, partners, and supporters.

We’ve been lucky to welcome new sponsors on board this season and we’re in the middle of reconfirming partnerships for 2026. So many sponsors are committing to staying with us for yet another year and this means so much. We’ve spent a lot of time on the road this year, joining our sponsors at corporate and staff events, meeting their teams and their colleagues to tell them all about the work that their sponsorship is making happen. This is our way of giving back and saying thank you. We simply wouldn’t be here without them

Together, we’re not just making history; we’re shaping the future of inclusive motorsport.

On behalf of everyone at Team BRIT, I wish our entire community of friends, fans sponsors and supporters a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year.

Here’s to the next decade of Team BRIT — faster, stronger, and prouder than ever.

2025 – What a year for the history book.
