We’re delighted to have raised more funds for Dogs for Autism during a successful weekend at Brands Hatch.
Earlier this year, we announced Dogs for Autism as our official charity partner for our Snetterton Saloons entry. The partnership has a special significance for the team, with rookie driver Tom Cannon, his teammate and mentor Bobby Trundley, and GT4 driver Asha Silva, all diagnosed as autistic.
The fundraising took place during the penultimate round of the 2026 GT Cup season, during which we welcomed guests to our hospitality suite on Saturday. Throughout the day, guests heard more about the work of Dogs for Autism and the positive impact the charity has on the lives of autistic people and their families.
Visitors were invited to support the charity through donations and by taking part in a fundraising raffle, helping to raise a fantastic total of £600.
Despite not racing, Tom also joined us to support the fundraising efforts and help share the story behind the partnership.
Dogs for Autism trains and provides assistance dogs, free of charge, to autistic children and adults across the UK. Each dog is trained around the needs of the person they will be partnered with. Depending on those needs, a dog may learn to provide calming pressure during moments of overwhelm, help their partner find an exit from a busy place, or support them to stay safe near roads.
As well as offering a familiar, reassuring presence, an assistance dog can help an autistic person feel more confident going out, communicating with others and taking part in everyday life. Dogs for Autism supports each partnership throughout the dog’s working life.
Team BRIT Principal Mike Scudamore said: “We’re delighted to have raised £600 for Dogs for Autism during such a busy race weekend. The charity’s work has a real connection to our team through Tom, Bobby and Asha, and it was fantastic to be able to share their story with our guests.
“We’d like to thank everyone who donated, bought raffle tickets and helped us support such a worthwhile cause. The generosity shown throughout the day was incredible.”
A partner of the charity provided the following feedback on the impact of thei dog: “Today, Poppy our amazing dog, took my daughter out to play. This might not sound like a big thing until you understand that she didn’t go outside for nearly 4 years due to her anxieties. Having Poppy has made it possible to go outside, to play, to laugh, to feel safe and protected from the world around her. In short, Poppy has made living a normal life possible”
